ІMYOELECTRIC TRANSHUMERAL PROSTHESIS
The total amount of arm/leg donation includes not only the cost of the prosthesis with all its components, but also the replacement of liners and components throughout the year and the ongoing maintenance of the prosthesis.
To learn how to use their prosthetics, our Supers work with physiotherapists and occupational therapists, exercise in a specially equipped gym and swimming pool, and receive counseling from psychologists, lawyers and career counselors.
All of our superhuman services are free, so every donation allows us to work better and give back lost abilities to as many people as possible.
Technical Description
A shoulder joint myoprosthesis from the largest prosthesis manufacturer Ottobock means a great degree of freedom and functionality. The main thing in them is a complex system of myosensors, which read the electrical signals sent by the brain to the muscles with the help of nerve fibres. The microprocessor is responsible for interpretation, the algorithms of which are adjusted for each user individually, taking into account physiological and anatomical features. A myoelectric prosthesis makes it possible to control effort, change position, squeeze and spread fingers, and generally perform quite delicate work.
